The Church

St. Anthony Shrine in Boston is a Catholic church and supposedly the first church to install a kiosk in their church. The kiosk allows worshippers and members of the church to make electronic donations. It seems like offering plates filled with cash and checks are now taken over by greed. Seriously, what’s this world coming to?

The kiosk was installed in the church after Friar David Convertino saw someone pay for their cup of coffee wit ha credit card. “We look at the plastic as an evolution of the financial system of the church,” said SecureGive CEO Marty Baker. The response of the kiosk has been a big hit since Christmas and the feedback has been positive.
