The Executive Summary
While this section appears first in your business plan, it is the very last thing you write. It will summarize all the key elements of your entire business plan.

The Industry
This is an overview of the industry that your business will be a part of. It will include your industry trends, major players, and your estimated industry sales. This will also include a summary of your business’s place within the industry you are trying to enter.

Market Analysis
This is an examination of the primary target market for your product or service. This will include the geographic location, demographics, as well as what needs your target market needs and how they are currently being met by your competitors.

Competitive Analysis
This will investigate your direct and indirect competitors. This will list your competitors competitive advantage as well as how you will set your business apart from theirs. You will explain how you will overcome any barriers that apply to the market you have chosen.

Marketing Plan

This is a detailed explanation of how you are going to sell your product or service, your pricing plan, and how you will advertise and promote your product or service. You will also list the benefits of your product or services.

Management Plan

This is an outline of your business’s legal structure and management resources. This will include a description of your internal management team, external management resources, and your human resources needs.

Operating Plan

This is a description of your physical location, equipment, facilities, what kind of employees you will need, inventory requirements, and suppliers. This section will also describe any other operating details your business will, and will also explain your manufacturing process on how your business plans on producing your product or service.

Financial Plan
This will describe your funding requirements, detailed financial statements, and a financial statement analysis.

Appendices And Exhibits
Anything that you think will improve the credibility of your business idea such as photographs of your product or service, market studies, or anything pertaining to your business you think will be pertinent will be included here.
